1) Image Preparation Savings

iseemedia Zoom Image Server eliminates the need for manual resizing of images.

The Authoring Assistant Tool automatically generates the image URLs and HTML code required for the Zoom Image Server to dynamically modify and serve the desired image. The URLs are then easily cut and paste into an HTML page. Web page designers and content designers can re-size, crop, rotate, brighten, and more for a given web page without affecting the original base image.

2) Increase in Online Sales

iseemedia Zoom Image Server increases online sales by allowing visitors to see high resolution details of the items they are looking to purchase.

Nine West, an online retailer decreased their product returns by 50% with the Zoom Image Server. (Jupiter Communications, Shopping Technologies, 2000)

Most Recent User Case Studies

Ministry of the Interior Italy
The Ministry of the Interior’s State Police Department was looking to create an engaging website that would showcase the history of Police Automobiles in Italy. This website would guide online users on a virtual tour to explore the Police Department’s “Museum of Police Automobiles” through high resolution panoramas using an interactive Map. It was important that the chosen technology would also allow online users to zoom in on the details of the images over low bandwidth connections.

China Motor Corporation
CMC was looking to create an Online Virtual 3D Showroom that would showcase its automotive product offerings over the web. The launch of this showroom was to coincide with the 2004 “Drive Into Tomorrow” Taipei Auto Show (Jan 3-11, 2004). With no current 3D digital image media, the project would encompass finding the right partner with the software tools and technology expertise required to help deliver a complete end-to-end solution including Image Content Creation, System Integration, Database Integration, Project Management, and development of Marketing Initiatives.

Oxford University / CSAD
The Centre for the Study of Ancient Documents and the Academic Computing Development Team (ACDT) at Oxford University were looking to create a website directly relevant to university courses in ancient history, archaeology and classics as well as palaeography and papyrology. They needed an Enterprise solution to establish an online edition of the Vindolanda ancient tablets allowing students and researchers to study the high resolution tablet images over low bandwidth connections.

Questia Media

Questia was looking to offer added value and additional features to their library members. Adding interactive zoom and pan functionality to almost 2 million static images was the goal. It was very important that this feature be offered without any plug-in downloads and be accessible to low bandwidth users. Furthermore, with over 100,000 unique visitors per day during the school year Questia needed an Enterprise Solution that could handle this load.

The Vatican Museums
The Vatican Museums website was created to show images created by the artists of the past at the highest detail. The Holy See website registers 60 million hits each month on average with more than 1 million worldwide users per month. The Vatican Museums needed an Enterprise Imaging Solution to bring the real-life experience of the Vatican Museums to those visiting online.

National Theater of Japan Museum
The National Theater of Japan Museum was designed to use modern technology to provide the viewer with a strong sense of what Kabuki and Bunraku were and are. One of the greatest challenges was to present the historical rich image content, the pictures of actors, costumes, painted screens, and theater sets in electronic format. They needed an Enterprise Solution for high quality multimedia digitization, fast information retrieval, and high-resolution image delivery.
